Anything Goes with Paper Sundaes

I just love the beautiful sunflowers in the fall!  A house nearby has the most amazingly tall sunflowers growing along their driveway.  I don't know how they grow them so big!

Our challenge this week at Paper Sundaes is 'Anything Goes', and our sponsor this week is Michelle's Scrapbooking.  I thought this would be a wonderful time to use Swiss Pixies Birgitta by CC Designs!

I just love these fall papers from American Crafts!  I think I should pick up another sheet or two for a windy day :)  (I'd say a rainy day, but in a few more weeks, any precip might be white!)

I've sparkled up her wings with Dazzling Diamonds, and used up a charm from the endless hoard known as my 'stash' :)

Now I am off to relax for a while before I head to bed (scheduling this for the morning!)  It's been a long week of colds and injury in our house, I need some quiet time!  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by, don't forget to join our 'Anything Goes' challenge at Paper Sundaes!

Believe That You are Wonderful

Good news!  Our local 'snow mountains' aka our city snow removal piles officially have melted as of last week!  Phew, I couldn't have handled it if we had gotten this year's snow before last winter's was officially gone ;)

As soon as I saw the yummy new Bo Bunny papers at our local scrapbook store last week, I just had to have them.  When I saw the sketch at Friday Sketch Challenge, I thought these papers would be perfect paired up with a Magnolia stamp.

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley's Dreamy Days Circular Sentiments.

Felt Fun

This week at Paper Sundaes, we're challenging everyone to use felt on your creations!  There are so many companies with dies now that work so well with felt.  For my card today, I've used MFT's Clouds Trio die-namic to cut my clouds, and paired it with this MFT Pure Innocence, Make Mine a Double.

Sometimes you need to run the die through with the felt twice to get a clean cut.  This one cut really clean the first time.  I just had a few fibers to clean up with my scissors and it was good to go.

I kept this card really clean and simple, with just a few gems for embellishment.  I wanted this cutie to be the star :)  Apparently I coloured her barrette too pale of a blue, so it looks like I didn't colour it.  It really is blue though!

Just Be Yourself

Sorry for not being around more, I haven't been feeling quite up to snuff lately!

I started this card for the Sugar Bowl challenge last Wednesay, and I wasn't sure if I would get it done in time or not, but I finally finished it up this morning.  I was a bit undecided on what kind of sentiment to use.  This Sugar Nellie 'High School Student' stamp is great for back to school, but it's a bit late for that.  On Friday though, I saw the freebie sentiment at Paper Makeup Stamps blog, and thought it would be perfect with her!  The perfect message for a 13 year old grade 8 girl :)

I've actually split it up though, to fit my card better!  That's the great thing about digi's...  if it doesn't fit in your space, you can always resize!

I've paired her up with some papers from Jillibean soup called Watermelon Gazpacho.  I've also used some buttons and ribbon from my endless stash :)

Her glasses received a generous coating of Diamond Glaze, as you can tell in full size photos :)  In the close-up you can actually see that I did colour her eyes:

Bunch of Hugs

Well, it's been a long week with no craftiness!  Finally, I have a project to share though.  There was no way I could miss our Paper Sundaes challenge this week, as it is sponsored by one of my absolute favorite stamp companies, My Favorite Things!

Our challenge this week is 'Finishing Touches'.  To be specific, we would like you to finish the insides of your card!

I've used this beautiful MFT Pure Innocence 'Bunch of Blooms' stamp and sentiment.  I've also paired her up with a butterfly from MFT's beautiful 'Butterflies' Die-namics set.  I've also used a heart from MFT's 'Hearts a Plenty' Die-namics set on the inside.

I've used my pink Spica pen to add some glitter, which you can only see on the close-up!  You can hopefully see it on her roses, shoes, hair flower, and along the side edges of her dress just for an extra touch.

And on this sad anniversary of the horrible 9-11 attacks, I want to send everyone a great big (((hug)))!  I expect for many of us, this day will be filled with strong emotions and sad memories.  It was a day that I will never forget, and yet my children were too young to understand.  Maybe it's a good thing they couldn't understand how our world had just changed.

I couldn't resist playing along with this week's MFT sketch!  It was just the excuse I needed to ink up my new 'Lollypop' Pure Innocence from My Favorite Things.  It was nice to get back to my usual cute & girly style.

I used a bunch of different MFT products for this; I always love to mix and match!  The sentiment is from Polka Dot Greetings, and it was cut out with MFT's Framed Greetings die.  The button is a die cut too, MFT's Button Quartet.  The clouds were also done with a die-namic, Cloud Trio, and stippled on with Broken China distress ink.

The paper is an older Echo Park release, Summer Days.  This just about finished my scraps of it off!

Busy, Busy!

I've had a busy week with limited time to create, but I thought I would pop in and share some crafty highlights of my week!

I was so excited to see my Candle Emma shaker ornament as 1 of 7 featured creations on the All That Scraps Blog!  What a wonderful surprise!

And then on Wednesday, I was reading the weekly MFT newsletter that gets sent around, and was stunned to see my What's Cooking? card as one of three cards featured from last week's MFT sketch challenge!  Awesome possum!  :D

I do have a little something tomorrow, so I hope you'll pop back then and check it out!  If you're enjoying a long weekend like we are, have a wonderful one, and if you're travelling, drive safe!
