Sunday again already?

Our challenge at Paper Sundaes this week is for you to use charms or other metal embellishments.  We thought it would be very appropriate, as our sponsor this week has an amazing selection of charms!  Stamp and Create is providing this week's winner with a $20 gift certificate!

As soon as I saw this cute Teddy Emma, I wanted to use her for a baby shower card.  I just think she is so adorable!

I've used some buttons from my stash, an umbrella charm, and some seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Yesterday after seeing all of the wonderful Whiff of Joy inspiration at the current Simon Says Stamp challenge of Coffee and Cream, I decided to ink up this cute Willow With Cookies by Whiff of Joy and play along with their challenge.  After all, what goes better with Coffee and cream than a yummy plate of cookies, warm from the oven?

I've paired her up with a new My Mind's Eye paper from their Stella Rose line, and an older MME paper from their Lost and Found collection.  The sentiment is a digi from Sweet 's Sassy's Sweet Birthday Wishes.

Copic colours:
Skin- E000, 00, 02
Hair, pants- E30, 31, 34, 35
Shirt, bow, slippers- Y21, 26, 28
Apron, cookies- E41,42
Pant hearts, leaves - E97, YG93

I did the inside to match, but kept it fairly simple.

Dreams can come true

This new Echo Park paper has really inspired me to create some boy cards!  I needed a special card for my son, this weekend, and I thought it would pair up wonderfully with By The River, from Lili of the Valley.  You can get it as part of the LOTV boy set as well, which is a great way to get a bunch of stamps for less!

I've used a sentiment from Lili of the Valley's Dreamy Days Sentiments set as well.  That really is a denim blue, by the way, not black!

Copic Colours:
Skin - E000, 00, 02, chalks for blush and dirt on elbows
browns - E30, 31, 34, 50, 57
Blues - B000, 32, 34
Water - BG0000, 10, 11
Greens - YG01, 03, 17, 95, chalks
envelope - R24, 27

I've used the Sweet Sunday sketch for my layout.

Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge - Spring
Oldie But a Goodie - Spring is in the Air
One Stitch at a Time - No Square Cards
Stamptacular Sunday - Someone Special (my son)
Sentimental Sundays - photo inspiration (water)

I know, it's shocking... two non-girly cards in a row!  I must be coming down with something :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Materials used:   Stamp- Lili of the Valley 'By the River', Dreamy Days Sentiments; Paper- Echo Park 'Little Boy', PTI kraft cardstock, Bazzill denim blue cardstock; Ribbon- PTI Enchanted Evening saddle stitched ribbon; Copic Markers, SU chalks

PSC57 and my helpful puppy!

As usual, Miss Molly was very helpful while I made my card for this week's Paper Sundaes challenge!  She is absolutely certain of the fact that her rightful place at all times is in my lap.  So like always, she was curled up in my lap as I was colouring away.  This time though, my kids grabbed my camera and took a few photos for you!  LOL

Isn't she sweet?  She'll lay there forever without complaining!  LOL

And now, back to your regular programming:)  This week at Paper Sundaes, we are challenging you to use masculine colours on your creations.  It doesn't have to be a card for a man, just masculine colours.  A few weeks ago, I spotted the new boys Echo Park papers and fell in love with them!  I actually bought at least one sheet from the entire line, which I never do!  So you can expect a few more cards made with them over the next few months :)

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp, where you can find this cutie on my card today, from The Greeting Farm.  He is from their Oliver & Olivia My Favorite Thing set.

I've used some Diamond Glaze to give the fish bowl a nice glossy sheen.
Copic Colours:
skin:  E000, 00, 02, chalk for blush
hair, pants:  E30, 31, 34
jacket, shoes, water:  BG0000, 01, 05
shirt, shoes:  YR000, 00, 02, 04

Crop Stop - sketch
Totally Gorjuss - check it out (orange pp)
All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge - for the guys
Cute Card Thursday - Shiny Happy cards
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - 3 patterned papers

And now some final thoughts from Molly- either she's wondering why she has a camera in her face, or she's wondering if Mom will notice that funny smell and kick her off her lap... I'll let you decide!  :)

Hope you're having a great weekend!

A Wee Card

If you saw my post yesterday, you saw me mention a new stamp store.  Sylvia is giving away Wee Suzi right now if you blog about her new Wee Stamps digi shop.  I couldn't wait to play with Wee Suzi, so last night while the kids were tucked in bed and my hubby was off to the gym, I stayed home and coloured!   We had a very exciting Valentine's Day!  LOL

I've used my copics with a bit of chalks (background, blush, edging of sentiment).  I've paired her with some Imaginisce papers, some buttons from my stash, and tied the buttons with some Jute string.

Skin: E000, 00, 02, chalk for blush
Hair, pot:  E30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37
Dress:  BG0000, 10, 11, 13

Happy Valentine's Day!

I doubt that I will have any projects today, other than some baking for my sweethearts, so I wanted to stop by and wish all of my followers and visitors a very happy Valentine's Day!

Wow, did you see that Sylvia Z has started her own digi shop called Wee Stamps?  You should definitely check them out, they are adorable!

Take care and I hope you have a great day!

Have a heart?

I do, but it was a struggle!  :)

This week at Paper Sundaes, we have opened up the Sundae bar again, and have asked everyone to pick their favorite toppings (at least two of the four).  I have chosen pink and flowers, just up my alley!  Our sponsor this week is Tickled Pink Stamps.  I just couldn't resist this cute Cherrie with Heart.

I decided to make a Heart candy box for Valentine's Day, following a tutorial at Susi's blog.  I didn't use her heart pattern though, I printed out my own.  If you have a full sized cricut, that's actually the way I would go!  Unfortunately, I just have the original, and don't use it enough to justify replacing it!

Skin- E000, 00, 02
Hair & Shoes- E30, 31, 33, 35, 37
Dress- BG0000. B000, 00
Heart- R22, 27

She is coloured with copics, with some shading with Prismacolor pencils and chalk for her blush.  I've paired her up with papers from Pink Paislee, Wild Orchid flowers, leaves punched with my Martha Stewart punch, and a Tim Holtz tag.

I've filled it up with Cinnamon Hearts inside, always a hit in my house!

Mmm, maybe it doesn't need to be *that* full!  :)

Mmm, cake!

I am trying to cut back on all the unhealthy junk I've been eating, but this Tilda isn't helping!  LOL  I'm trying to get cards made with as many of the new Magnolia collection as possible.    This little cutie is called 'Birthday Tilda'.

I've paired her up with some flowers cut with my Magnolia Doohickey flower dies, and a sentiment from the same collection.  The scallop is another Magnolia Doohickey die.

Copic Colours:  E000, 00, 02, 30, 31, 33, 35, 50.  Y11, 21, 26, 28.  B0000, 000, 00.  R81, 83.

Now I am off for the afternoon to try and replace my newly broken paper cutter!  Hopefully I will be able to get a good replacement and will be back in the morning for our regular Paper Sundaes new challenge!

Totally Gorjuss:  Love (sentiment)

An Older Tilda

Just a quick post while I am on my way out the door!

Last week while I was organizing my image stash, I came across this Tilda, and thanks to the help of Silvie Z (in my comments) and Norma via the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group, I now know her name, Tilda With Marguerites!  I finished up her colouring and finally made her into a card today.

Copic Colours:
Skin:  E000, 00, 02, chalk for blush
Hair:  E30, 31, 33
Clothes:  B91, 93, 95, 97
Flowers, socks:  V1, 4, 6
Greenery:  YG3, 91, 93
Shadow:  W0, 1

I am keeping this post really short and simple since I am off to the pool to watch the end of my kids' practice!

Bunnies in Love

As part of my current dedication to ink up more of my stamps (both new and old!), I broke out one of my new to me LOTV stamps called Bunnies in Love and whipped up another Valentine's Day card.  I couldn't resist ordering the Occasions set while I was placing an order for some of the other new releases last month!

I paired them with Making Memories 'Love Struck' designer paper, and ribbon, gems and a charm from my stash.  I actually used the medium braod end of my copics to give the fur some texture, hopefully it will show up in the close-up!

Copic Colours:
Fur:  W0, 1, 3
Flowers, blush:  R000, 30, 32
Greenery:  YG0000, 01, 03
Shadow:  B0000, 000

Tilda with Heart

Happy Monday!  It's the most dreaded day of the week... or maybe it's the best day of the week, the day your kids go back to school!  :)

After I received my new Tilda's from the 'You Are So Special' Magnolia release this weekend, I thought I should try to use the super cute Tilda With Heart before Valentine's Day!  I found a bit of free time last night in between homework help and baking with my kids, and coloured her up for my card today!  I couldn't get on the computer while they did their homework anyway.  It's rough having two teens in the house!

I've paired her up with some new to me papers from Fancy Pants, some lace from my stash and some Wild Orchid roses and leaves.  I've also used some punched leaves using a Martha Stewart punch.  I've popped her up with 3D zots as you can see in the close-up.

Copic Colours:
Skin:  E000, E00, E02 (blush- chalk)
Hair & Shoes:  E30, E31, E33, E35, E37
Dress, socks and Heart:  R20, R22, R24, R27, R29

Oh, I almost forgot my surprise!  The first commenter on this post who wants them, can email me their address and I will pop 4 stamped images of this Tilda into the mail for them!  That's your reward for reading all the way to the bottom :)  They are stamped on PTI with Memento Ink.  You must mention in your comment that you would like them, so that everyone knows when they are gone.

Take care, and thanks for stopping by!

I'm on a mission...

To use some stamps and images that I've neglected!  When I saw this new 'Timeless' paper from Teresa Collins the other day, i thought it would be perfect for this hAnglar stAnglar girl!

I've paired her up with some Wild Orchid flowers nested on Magnolia die cut flowers, and the leaf punch is by Martha Stewart.  I've also used the old lace Magnolia die cut for the side scallop.

I can't wait for my newest order of Wild Orchid flowers to arrive, I'm getting desperately low in a few colours!

Just think, Valentine's Day is a week from tomorrow!  So if you're getting sick of seeing Valentine's Day cards, they are almost over!  LOL

Two or More Images With Paper Sundaes

Good morning!  This week at Paper Sundaes, we are challenging you to use at least 2 image stamps, not including sentiments!  (That would be WAY to easy :)

I've combined the beautiful Tilda with Letter with the Elegant Heart Ribbon from the Magnolia 'Raising The Ceiling' release, and Magnolia's Post 14 Feb stamp.  I've actually extended the length of the stamped ribbon a bit by cutting it where it's behind her legs and edging it over as far as I could without showing a gap.  That gained me just enough room that she can sit comfortably on the ribbon.  I've also cropped out the ink strings holding the hearts and replaced it with some twine.

The kraft background paper I created myself with Photoshop Elements.  I couldn't figure out what I wanted to put there, and I think it turned out pretty well :)  I then printed it out on the Kraft cardstock, and away I went!

To get a bit of a vintage look to the envelope, I used my colourless blender and used palette blending off the dirty caps of my E41 and E42 Copics.  Now they're nice and clean inside!

Love-ly Hanglar boy

During my stamp and image organization this week, I've come across a few images that never made it into cards.  I am taking a break today from all the sorting, and decided to make this sweet hAnglar stAnglar boy into a Valentine's card for my son.  His name is Pojke med hjärtesnöre, or in english, Boy With Hearts on String.

I've paired him up with some very masculine papers from We R Memory Keepers, and a button and some twine from my stash.

Unfortunately, I no longer have my list of copic colours.  I'll try not to lose it next time :)

Name that Tilda?

I've been busy organizing all of my stamps and swapped images this week, which is why I haven't been posting.  Maybe I'll do a post on how I'm organizing them, later.... when it's presentable!  LOL

Something else has also kept me busy this week, or should I say 'Someone'!

Here's the little criminal hiding out in her kennel; she knows she's in trouble and that she's not allowed out.  While dear hubby and I ran out to the store and left her home with the kids, they went downstairs to play video games, and she went upstairs and emptied out a bag of garbage, and ate quite a bit of the contents.

Looking at me with those big puppy eyes is NOT going to get you out of trouble this time!

I've had to take an occasional break from sorting, and have been using that time to colour up a few old Tildas that have turned up in the course of my organizing!  Hopefully next week I can get them made into cards :)  In the meantime, I'm hoping someone can name this Tilda for me!  She appears to be carrying Daisies or some similar flower.

If you could help me figure out who she is, I'd really appreciate it!  Thanks!
